Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
"Perin seemed to be coming around to him, but I doubt father will ever accept Arium as his grandson. If given the chance, he would probably denounce Arium's princehood in the Elven kingdom. I doubt he's thought of that, though."
"That's awful." Onya said with a frown, then looked to Aran and smiled. "You know everyone else is going to want to see him. Dad's going to be excited."
Arium squealed happily and patted at Aran's cheeks when he was nuzzled.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
"I know, but I don't want to overstimulate him. He's only just gotten here," Aran laughed at the little pats, nipping gently at Arium's fingers. "I guess we'd better see Dad, though, before he pouts about not being first to see him."

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
Arium squealed and bopped his head against Aran's.
"I'll go let him know you're home!" Onya said with a grin before rushing off and into the court, announcing that Aran had returned with his mate and son.
Elium laughed softly. "Oh, if she's this excited I'm not sure what to expect from everyone else." He said with a smile.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
"They're going to swarm us." Aran laughed a little, gasping in slight shock when his head was bopped. "Oh! Little tough guy, hmn?" He grinned, walking with Elium into the court.
His father was already at the door to greet them, beaming at the little family before looking in awe at Arium. "Oh, what a precious little jewel! Just like an opal!"

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
Arium tilted his head up at the king and blinked at him before giggling and grabbing his beard.
Elium smiled softly and leaned slightly against Aran, glad Arium was taking everything well so far.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
"Oh! Come here, little one, let me look at you." The king gently picked Arium up, letting him tug on his beard all he wanted. "What have you named him?"
"Arium, Dad." Aran answered, laughing at how his son grabbed the king's beard and was so calm despite the new people.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
Arium giggled and tugged on the Kings beard, but as others began to gather around to have a look at the little prince, he suddenly realized how far from Elium he had gotten. And as more strange people surrounded him, he began to cry.
"Oh my dear Arium." Elium said, gently plucking him from the king and holding him close as he continued to cry. "It's alright darling, I'm here." He said softly, gently bouncing him.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
The old king chuckled and shooed most of the crowd away, before leaning over and gently rubbing Arium's back. "Poor thing's been through quite a lot. Go on and rest and get some food in you, you'll be safe from the crowds in Aran's room."
"Thank you, father." Aran smiled, wrapping an arm around Elium's shoulder and helping to get him and Arium to the quiet of their rooms. "Our little one just got a bit overwhelmed is all, he'll get used to the bustle with time."
Meanwhile, Perin carefully snuck back into the Naga palace, after following his brother and Aran. He wanted to make sure everything was alright and that the prince would treat Elium right, despite not trusting him.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
Elium smiled a bit, Arium slowly calming down now that there wasn't so many people. "I'm sure he will be." He said with a smile. "It probably won't take much time at all."
"And what do we have here?" Onya hummed, having been on her way near by when she saw the elf from behind. "What is an elf like you doing all the way out here, hmm? Planning on trying to steal Aran's mate again?" She asked as she slowly slithered up to him.

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom
"He'll be slithering all over, meeting new people and being an energetic little prince in no time." Aran chuckled, having food brought to them as he pulled his family onto the bed and curled around them.
Perin jumped and squeaked when he saw Onya, pressing his back against a wall and trying not to look terrified. "No! I-I...I-It's my job as an older brother to make sure this Aran is treating Elium right! A-And I'm not leaving until I get answers!"
