Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom

"Nobody would have because they know I'm mated to their Prince." Elium said angrily, planning to lock himself in his room so no one would bother him.

Perin just sighed and shook his head, greeting their other brother as they reached the castle. "That snake's done a real number on him, honestly. It'll take some time before Elium is back to himself."

"I am myself!" Elium said angrily as he got off the horse. "And I am going to my room, so I hope the lot of you have the decency to leave me alone." He said, starting to walk away from them and towards his room. He would have loved to see his family under different circumstances, but at the moment he was just too angry.

Eiveryn blinked. "Think we should stop him?" He asked, looking at Perin. "He reminds me of mom when she would get upset."

"Let's let him blow off some steam, he'll calm down in a bit. He's just shaken up from the trip here." Perin shrugged, laughing a little and nodding at what Eiveryn said. "He really does, doesn't he?"

Re: That's one Elf of a way to save a Kingdom

A few months go by and Elium realized with dread that soon he was going to be laying the egg, and Aran still hadn't found him. He remembered Aran said he would feel nothing while the pheromones affected him, but without the Naga he wasn't sure what he would do. It was midday and he was tending to his plants in his room when it happened, his screams of pain and agony from laying the egg echoing throughout the castle. However, whenever anyone would try to come and help him, he'd yell obscenities at them as well as throw the nearest object at them. It lasted well into the night, but not long after midnight did it quiet in Elium's room. He laid on his bed, exhausted, but clutching the egg close to himself protectively.

Perin hurried to Elium's room once the screaming had stopped, looking pale with worry. "Elium! Oh thank goodness you're alright, do you need food or water? Painkillers?" He asked, ignoring the egg for now and simply being the overprotective brother he was.

"...painkillers and water would be great right now..." Elium murmured softly, looking over at Perin. "Nnn, sorry for hitting you with that book end." He murmured, closing his eyes.

On the otherside of the room, the king and Eiveryn stood worried as well, but after being pelted with items did not dare enter.

"Hey, shhh, it's alright," Perin cooed, sticking his head out and asking for a servant to bring water and medicine, before looking to his father and brother. "He's doing well, just tired and in pain. He's not throwing stuff anymore, at least."

"Thank goodness." The king sighed in relief, glad his youngest was all right.

"What about that egg?" Eiveryn asked curiously.

Elium sighed softly and pressed his forehead against the egg, listening to the little hybrid move about on the inside. He figured it was just a matter of time now before they fully hatched.

"He won't let go of it." Perin said softly, glancing back into the room to the bed. He bit his lip, looking nervous for a moment. "Do you think we could just let him keep the thing? Maybe it's more elf than snake."
