Re: Skulls and Butterflies

"O-Okay. See you this evening, um, Kaen," Orson flushed and smiled shyly, before turning to his mother and waiting for her to show him the way. Nervously, he played with his hair, wanting to be alone so he could squeal into a pillow about the handsome prince.

Orha gently placed a hand to Orson's back and led him out after a bow to the King and Queen. She smiled down at Orson, looking amused as they stepped out of the castle. "So my son, what do you think of the Prince?" She asked.

"H-He's nice!! I'm excited to be friends with him," Orson said with a smile, blushing just as he thought of the prince. "I can't wait to see him tonight,"

"He is a very kind Prince, and very good at pointing out when his mother is wrong." Orha chuckled. "And he has yet to begin courting anyone."

"Courting? You mean like, dating?" Orson asked, turning a shade darker at the thought. He'd only been asked out ever a few times, and they never lasted long; what would make dating a faerie different? "I-I'm not so good at that, uh, most of the people in high school didn't want to be near me cause I'm kinda creepy,"

"Things are much different here than they are in the mortal realm, my son." Orha said with a smile as she brought Orson to a large home made of living trees. "Ah, here we are. Welcome home, Orson." She said happily as she opened the door and brought Orson into a surprisingly large front room.

"This is so cool," Orson gasped, staring around the front room with wide eyes. He giggled, bouncing a little on his feet as everything really hit him, more excited than scared. "I never thought I'd find a tree big enough to live in, this is so awesome! I-I wanna see and learn everything,"

"And you will my son." Orha said with a smile, pleased with how excited Orson was. "If you love this, I hope you will enjoy your bedroom." She said, leading to the center of the home where stairs of living branches spiraled around the core of the tree. She lead up the spiraling stairs until they reached another floor with cylindrical walls and a door set into the wall. She opened the door and walked into a large open space completely connected all the way around. Large windows in the tree were made of branches and were covered only by curtains that were currently open to show a beautiful view across the Seelie lands.

"This entire floor is yours. I wasn't sure what you would end up liking, so I left most decorations out so you could decorate as you wanted. And once your wings grow in, you'll be able to fly in and out through your window." Orha said with a smile.

"This is like five times bigger than my old room," Orson gasped, gently setting his backpack down and walking further into the room, ideas on how to decorate already filling his head. He bounced a little on his feet, excited, and turned to face Orha with a beaming smile. "When can I start? Where do I go to get stuff? Is there like a Seely Target or something?"

Orha couldn't help but chuckle, walking into the room and running her hands over hanging vines, that began to glow a soft blue as she touched them. "We have an open air market, but I'm not sure the things there would much fit your tastes. We may need to cross our borders to the outlands where other creatures than Fae live." She said thoughtfully.
