Re: Feathered Fae

Reese flinched a little when Tarragon first touched him, unused to such gentleness; but soon the soothing gesture was calming his panicked mind. "I-I didn't really expect to l-live past today." He confessed softly, not really knowing what to do with himself. Or how he was going to be a parent when he still felt like a kid himself. "T-That sounds pretty bad doesn't it,"

Re: Feathered Fae

"That is how most humans who come here think at first." Tarragon said gently, beginning to lightly scritch at Reese's head. "Most believe they will be devoured."

Re: Feathered Fae

Reese let out something like a purr when Tarragon began to scratch his head lightly, very much enjoying the feeling. He finally let himself close his eyes, not sure yet if he felt better knowing everyone had felt like he did. "U-Um. Y-You won't touch me unless you have my permission, w-will you?" The human emphasized 'touch', finding that he didn't mind the friendly petting and holding and wanting to specify that he meant it intimately.

Tarragon frowned and stopped scritching for a moment before slowly nodding and continuing as he was doing. "I will refrain from touching you in such ways unless you allow it." He said lightly. "Soon I will need to, however, but I will not force you."

Reese nodded, but sat up after a moment, wanting to be honest with Tarragon about his broken self. "T-Thank you. I, um. I-I've been forced before, and I never want to feel like that again." He muttered, not looking at the Fae as he spoke.

Tarragon frowned and gently touched Reese's cheek. "You do not have to fear that with me." He said firmly. "I can wait, as long as I must."

Reese searched Tarragon's eyes for any kind of trickery, visibly deflating in relief when he could find none. A little shyly, he leaned towards the hand near his cheek, and even gave a small smile. "M-Maybe this won't be so [sign in to see URL], what is there for humans to do here?"

"There are many things, depending on what you like." Tarragon said lightly, looking thoughtful. "I could bring you to meet more of the humans here, they know more of what humans like doing here than I do."

"I-I'd like that," Reese nodded at the idea of meeting more humans, still kind of terrified and wanting more than one person to tell him that things would be okay. "How many humans are there here? Does every Fae get one?"

Re: Feathered Fae

"Not every Fae gets one, but there are many here." Tarragon said, resting back and getting more comfortable where he was sitting. "Most stay within their home trees, or they go to the Gardens, as that is a safe place to take young Fae."
